Looking to purchase a new set of golf clubs?

When starting out think about your needs and what type of clubs fit them. Don’t just buy the most expensive set you find but instead buy a set that is suited for your playing style and handicap.

Many people decide to change their clubs because the old ones are not suited for their game anymore. A more advanced set of clubs may be what you need if you are no longer a beginner to golf and your swing has progressed. The best way to improve your game is to match your skill set up with your golf clubs.

Think whether you need to change your shaft. A softer flex is usually very benefical to older players or those with a slow swing speed. Many pros with tell you that the most common mistake people make is buying clubs with a shaft that is not suited to them. Be honest about your current skill set and you are sure to get the right clubs to help you improve.

See what other golfers have to say about the golf clubs you are looking to buy. Taking a look at golf club reviews can help give you an idea if they helped other golfers like you improve.Make sure that the reviews you look at are from people with a similar skill set as you because it will give you a better idea of how well the clubs will work for you.

Make sure to set a budget before you go looking for your new golf clubs. You want to make sure you have money left for greens fees after you buy your clubs or how else are you going to test them out. It money is a issue then you may want to consider the TaylorMade R7 Iron set reviews because they are economical and a great set of irons.Don’t be afraid to spend more money as long as the set you are buying is fit for your skill set. No matter if your budget is big or small you can still find a set of clubs that will help lower your scores.

If you are looking to buy new golf clubs make sure to take all of these factors into consideration and you will end up with the right set of clubs.

There is nothing wrong with buying used clubs as long as hey are the right clubs for your game, fit your body size, and conform to your particular golf swing mechanics (swing speed and swing type). If they are to stiff, not long enough, too long, or the grips are no the right size, driver loft is to low for your swing speed, or the lie of the clubs will cause a tendency in you to hit the ball other than straight, then the particular clubs you are looking at probably aren’t right for you. (more…)

Let me get this right out in the open, the backspin is a shot that is not the easiest shot to accomplish, let alone make sure you know where and what it’s doing. The other thing is, it’s a shot that’s not really needed a lot. There are very few situations in which you should be using it. I’ll get into the basics of pulling off a backspin shot here, but I need you
to realize that a lot more, in fact almost a whole book could be written on this subject alone, and as a result, it’s a very difficult shot to add to your arsenal if you’re only a recreational golfer. (more…)

Although this will be short, do not underestimate the information that it contains. As in life, golf isn’t necessarily about making big changes, but little adjustments which can make all the difference. As in all things, there is a sequence, an order in which everything works best, and the Putt is one of those things that work much better if you follow that proper order/ sequence. The first thing that needs to be done in the Putt sequence is to decide on your line, and this definitely needs to be done before the stroke. When you are in the process of figuring out your line, pay close attention to the area of the green within a three foot radius of the hole. (more…)
