Golf Swing Basics: Perfect For Pro Golfers!

The most important element to learn in order to enjoy playing golf are golf swing basics. Learning the basic swinging techniques that professional golfers are using will bring you from golfing beginner to golfing amateur, and eventually to golfing professional.

How the ball is going to react to you is determined by our grip and that is the first thing to remember. In most cases, if your hold on the club handle is delicate and loose then you will slice your shot. Then again, you are almost always going to hook your shot if your hold is too firm. You need to be able to discover your balance on the club handle grip situation.

You will take some time and practice to finally discover your sweet spot, but from then you should be able to memorize it in order to drastically improve your game. As an indicator, you should recognize that the left hand is the top hand if you are right handed, and if you are left handed then your top hand is the right one.

Teeing off should be the next thing to work on once you have mastered your grip. Your concentration will truly be tested at this moment. You need to learn how to tune out every potential distraction so that you can focus on where you want the ball to go. Take a few moments before you hit the ball and draw a mental picture of where you want the ball to go, and you will notice an advancement in your hits.

There is a lot of bewilderment for new players regarding backswing and downswing fundamentals. The designation of the downswing is meant to generate the momentum of the club and the power behind the ball. This can be achieved by swinging your arms in one single, fluid motion. This is achievable by swinging your arms in one single, smooth motion. This is an arm motion, meaning that you need to resist the desire to make the swing with your hands or with your wrists instead.

The behind the backswing notion is completely different. The backswing should be a lot slower than the downswing, but it should be just as potent and it should complement the golf swing. You should also remember that your downswing should be faster than you’re your backswing between 25 percent and 30 percent.

Your backswing movement should have your left shoulder and your hips in the correct position, particularly when you shift your weight to the right side. This motion is going to be the opposite, however, for left-handed players. If you practice this motion then it will become natural to you over time.

If you think you have finally understood all the golf swing basics above, then it is time to go to the closest driving range. Should you know someone who’s played golf, you might wish to bring him along, because the actuality of the game might be a tad different.

Correcting Slice – Is It Possible?

For many golfers the frustration of seeing your ball slice to the right on a regular basis is too much to handle often resulting in slamming your clubs into the ground in anger – or kicking your bag!.

Fortunately and un-fortunately there are many factors that can cause the slice, Fortunately because all these things can be fixed, when identified.

And un-fortunately because identifying them is the hard part and with the vast number of training aids and professional opinions that all seem to differ it can leave the golfer not knowing which way to turn for advice.

That was the position I was in, I had a slice for around 10 years that was until I found a system that lead to me correcting slice.

A problem that i suffered from and what was helping to cause my slice shots was not lining up correctly with the ball.

It’s common sense that if you are not lined up correctly you will not be able to hit the ball in the direction you want it to travel.

The good news is that if you suffer from not lining up correctly it is quite easy to fix and even easier to diagnose.

Firstly when you line up to hit a ball get a buddy to place an iron at the end of your feet, then step back and have a look at the direction your feet are pointing.

When you look down the club on the floor if it points in the direction you want the golf ball to travel in you are lining up correctly. If the club is not lined up correctly this is going to cause some problems with your game and needs addressing asap. The way i was told to fix the issue with not lining up correctly was to go to the range and put a golf club on the floor pointing straight down the range and then line your feet up to it. At first this will seem strange but you will soon get used to it, after long you will line up to the ball correctly and hopefully this will go some way to correcting slice shots in your game.

You can also use this technique when you next play on the course, you may look a little silly but at least you will be lining up to the golf ball correctly and hopefully hitting the ball straight down the fairway.

I hope this article has been helpful to you, if you want to know more about how I fixed my slice please click here correcting slice.

I wish you all the best in your quest of becoming a better golfer.
