For right handed golfers, the left arm must be straight and not bent, and the right arm must be folded inside. The hips should also be maintained at an angle of 45 degrees while the shoulders must be maintained at 90 degrees.

After the backswing, downswing is the process where you release all the built-up energy in you. During this time, your body should uncoil from the rather tight position it was in. The energy, you would find, should be released from the arms to the hips and later get transferred to your shot itself.

So, what really is the importance of following through while playing golf. Two advantages can be observed here – 1) You tend to have the momentum, and importantly, you save yourself from injuries, which you could get if you stop your shots.
